The Village of Carlock is posting a part-time job opportunity for a village maintenance worker.
This position requires a person who is self-motivated and able to work independently, but is also able to take direction, work with others as needed, and exhibit a genuine care for the Village of Carlock and its residents. This would be a perfect opportunity for a college student or a retired/semi-retired person, but is open to anyone interested.
Duties would include, but are not limited to: general grounds care, landscaping and maintenance, mowing, weed eating, ditch cleaning, tree trimming, park maintenance and care including pavilion janitorial duties and garbage collection, equipment care and maintenance, general building maintenance, etc.
Skills and experience required: basic building maintenance, landscaping and lawncare, small engine maintenance and care, power tool and equipment operation.
Other Requirements: Valid drivers license and the ability to do physical labor.
Hours: Hours will fluctuate based on the seasons and the needs of the village. Spring, Summer and Fall hours could average up to 20 hours a week. Winter hours could be 0 - 10 hours a week, depending on village needs. Scheduling can be flexible.
Pay: Starting pay $12 - $15 per hour depending on experience. Performance and pay reviews are done annually in the spring prior to the beginning of each fiscal year which begins May 1.
